One of the only things bigger than the the wide open skies of Texas is the Internet, which is why I like to find the most breathtaking images of the lone star state and share them with the rest of the proud Texans that reside in this massive state.

This time, I came across Chris Wolfgang on Flickr. I sent him a message, letting him know I have not seen photos like these in a long time - you know, photos that leave my mouth wide open so I can catch bugs a little easier.

He was kind enough to allow me to share some of his awe-inspiring shots of the Milky Way from Davis Mountains State Park.
