The Oldest DQ In Texas Has Been Open Since 1950
Deep in East Texas stands the oldest "Texas Stop Sign" in the state. The Dairy Queen in Texas opened in Henderson in 1950. Everybody has a favorite memory of going to their local ice cream parlor, and the customers who visit DQ off on Highway 259 in Henderson love that location so much that when the chance came to build a completely new store the patrons said no way!
Inside this DQ, you'll find wifi, flat screen TV's and even a little museum of sorts dedicated to Henderson and the Dairy Queen itself.
DQ was founded in Joliet, Illinois in 1940. Today their corporate offices are located in Minnesota. Click the button to see a video of the Henderson DQ.
