Traffic Reroute in Downtown Killeen

A downtown street closing has been announced by the City of Killeen.

Avenue C and 8th Street will be closed to all traffic beginning Wednesday, and the intersection will be closed for approximately six weeks.

Traffic will be rerouted and drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes and to use caution in the area.

The closure is part of the Downtown Streetscaping Project, expected to be completed this year.
