KWTX reported that the 26th annual Tri-County Toy Run began early Sunday morning in the Central Texas area.

Hundreds of motorcyclists in the area banded together at the American Legion Post 133 to donate toys and bikes for children in the area. The toy run is expected to benefit over 13,000 children in the Central Texas area in need of presents this year.

The caravan of bikers made their way through Bell and Coryell counties, and concluded in Lampasas where gifts where handed out. The chairman of the Tri-County Toy Run, Bruce Raymond said, "This day is very special to all those who participate."

Raymond also said,  “You know, none of us get paid. Nobody, none of the volunteers, myself, John, none of us get paid. We do this to help these children. And it just amazes me how many we have within our three counties, that actually just dream about a Christmas.”

The American Legion will begin collecting toys once again for the 2019 Tri-County Toy Run in February.
