Starting Monday, Trimmier Road will be more stop-n-go than usual.

The City of Killeen announced that they will be relocating some electrical services, plus running new wiring through major intersections along Trimmier Road beginning Monday.

It's all part of the Trimmier Road Widening project that, when it's complete, will have a continuous center turn lane from Jasper Drive to Elms Road, as well as improved sidewalks and intersections.

To accommodate this part of the construction project, the following intersections will have temporary stop signs:

  • Trimmier Road at Lowes Boulevard will have four-way stop signs May 15 through 17.
  • Trimmier Road at Bacon Ranch Road will have four-way stop signs May 17 through 19.
  • Trimmier Road at Elms Road will have four-way stop signs May 22 through 24.

The City of Killeen apologized in advance for any inconveniences. You are asked to exercise caution while in the area, observe signage, and plan alternate routes if possible.

If everything goes as planned, the Trimmier Road Widening project will be finished in November.
