AMARILLO, Texas (AP) — Authorities say state troopers seized almost 200 pounds of illegal drugs during a traffic stop this week near Amarillo.

The drugs have an estimated street value of $750,000 and were discovered after a trooper stopped a vehicle Monday morning for a traffic violation on Interstate 40. Among the drugs found were 96 bags of marijuana.

The driver was arrested and booked into Potter County jail.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says the drugs are believed to have been on the way to North Richland Hills from California.
