Two Killeen men remained in the Bell County Jail Wednesday morning after being connected to a break in at a home Sunday.

25-year-old Eddie Bruce Mathis and 23-year-old Leon Lamond Plummer were booked into jail Tuesday. Both were charged with second degree felony robbery and marijuana possession.

As reported by the Killeen Daily Herald, the two men allegedly forced their way into a Killeen home Sunday, struck a person twice in the face, then stole cellphones and cigarettes.

When police located the two men at their apartment on East Harrison, they spotted two phones matching descriptions of those stolen from the crime scene.

According to Bell County Jail records, both men were held in lieu of bonds totaling $103,000.

The stolen property was returned to the owner.
