KTEM-- A student from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor was robbed at a convenience store in Belton early Thursday morning.

The student exited her vehicle around 7:45 AM when an unknown male subject approached her from behind and demanded her wallet. After taking the wallet, the suspect ran North on Main Street and was last seen sprinting toward Martin Luther King Avenue in Belton.

UMHB Campus Police reports describe the suspect as a Hispanic man of average height and build wearing dark pants and a red sweatshirt with a hood.

The student was unharmed, but Campus Police advise students to be  mindful of their surroundings and always scan the area before exiting or entering a vehicle.
