Waco Woman Charged in Deadly Shooting at Harker Heights’ Club Empire
A Waco woman has been charged with murder in connection to the fatal shootings of two men outside a Harker Heights night club early Saturday morning.
Our news partner, KWTX, reports that 29-year-old Olishea Lawshawn Smith turned herself in around 10:30 AM Tuesday after a warrant was issued for her arrest Sunday.
As of Wednesday morning, Smith remained in the Bell County Jail in lieu of $1 million bond. Online jail records indicate she was booked at 2:18 PM Tuesday and charged with first degree murder.
According to KWTX, Dexter Lamont Prather, 42, of Waco, and Damion Duane Hopkins, 27, of Colorado Springs were fatally shot outside of Club Empire, 300 West Veterans Memorial Blvd, shortly before 5:20 AM Saturday following a fight over a dice game.
