A Wednesday morning lockdown at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center's I-35 campus in Waco that was initiated after an unspecified phone threat has been lifted.

A hospital spokesman said authorities identified the person responsible for the phone threat and are “handling it” according to KWTX.com

Hospital security checked persons entering the facility for several hours on Wednesday morning, but otherwise operations were normal.

Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said there was no longer an immediate threat to the facility nor any danger inside the hospital.

No other details have been made available.
