To paraphrase Johnny Carson and his audience, it was so hot...

"HOW HOT WAS IT?!"

The Doppler was showing traffic conditions. Truly.

About three and a half hours ago, the National Weather Service in Fort Worth which monitors our Central Texas area shared this online:

Doppler radar shows fast moving traffic along I-35 between Hillsboro and Waco this morning. It's unusual for the radar to see road traffic because the radar beam often tracks well above the ground. However, due to very warm air just above a cool and calm surface this morning, the radar beam is bending back down to the surface in some spots.

Even in this day and age, technological anomalies can be cool. Even when it's warm outside.
