White Powder Causes Shutdown of Justice Center Lobby

The Bell County Sheriff's Office is investigating after an envelope containing a suspicious white powder showed up at the county's justice center Tuesday morning.

Our news partner, KWTX, reports that the main lobby of the Bell County Justice Center was "isolated" shortly after the envelope arrived around 10:40 AM.

A hazmat team later determined that the contents of the envelope were not toxic, and the lobby was reopened around 1:30 PM.
