Almost a year after his Article 32 hearing, a Fort Hood soldier accused of running a prostitution ring will be tried for recruiting young female soldiers into a prostitution ring.

Sgt. 1st Class Gregory McQueen faces 21 charges related to pandering, conspiracy, maltreatment of a subordinate, abusive sexual contact, adultery and conduct of a nature to bring discredit to the armed forces. Panel selection and general court-martial proceedings are set to begin March 9 at Fort Hood's Lawrence H. Williams Judicial Center. Trial judge Lt. Col. Rebecca Connally will preside over the case.

McQueen was charged on March 7, 2014, and his Article 32 hearing ended on June 4. He was working as a non-commissioned sexual assault prevention officer at Fort Hood when he allegedly pressured young female soldiers facing financial problems into arranging paid sexual encounters with soldiers. He is also accused of sexually assaulting some of the women who worked for him.

In December of 2013, one of McQueen’s clients, Master Sgt. Brad Grimes, was found guilty of conspiring to patronize a prostitute and solicitation to commit adultery after one of McQueen’s recruits testified against him.
