Police used a Taser to subdue a 17-year-old Killeen high school student Thursday morning.

The incident occurred shortly after 10 AM at Shoemaker High School. According to a statement issued by the Killeen Independent School District, the girl got into a physical altercation with school administrators and fought with a Killeen police officer and KISD officer who tried to stop her.

According to the statement, the girl was warned that the Taser would be used if she didn't stop. She reportedly continued to fight and lashed out at a school employee, at which point the campus officer used the stun gun to subdue her.

The girl was taken to the Killeen City Jail and now faces two counts of assault causing bodily injury and one count of making a terroristic threat.

Neither KISD officials nor Killeen police have released the girl's identity due to her age. KISD has not commented on how the fight began.
