Fire marshal investigators have named a Temple woman the prime suspect in a fire that destroyed a vacant home in southeast Temple in December.

Lucia Aguilar, 33, has been charged with second degree felony arson. Jail records indicate she was already being held in the Bell County Jail on a writ of capias pro fine when the arson charge was pressed. Her bond was set at $50,000.

Temple's Fire Marshal Office alleges Aguilar is responsible for setting a fire that gutted a vacant home at 717 South 9th Street on Monday, December 26, 2016.
