A 23-year-old Gatesville man remained behind bars Monday after being busted in a Hamilton County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) child solicitation sting over the weekend.

In a Facebook post, HCSO said John Albert Wilson struck up a sexually suggestive online conversation with someone he believed to be under the age of 17 on Thursday, March 30.

After sending explicit photos, Wilson allegedly arranged to meet and have sexual intercourse with the person he believed to be a minor. When he arrived at a park in Gatesville on Friday, March 31, he was arrested and charged with two felony counts of online solicitation of a minor.

Online records indicate Wilson was booked into the Coryell County Jail at 2:13 AM Saturday, April 1. His bond was set at $100,000.

20-year-old Jacob Leon Baumgartner of Waco was also arrested as part of the operation. According to a HSCO Facebook post, Baumgartner "was found to be in possession on alarming amount of weapons" when he arrived in Hico to engage in sex with someone he believed to be a minor.

According to the HCSO Facebook post, this was the third child predator sting in which the department teamed up with Coryell County.
