I was having one of those Mondays in which I'm chained to the desk, so heading out for lunch wasn't an option. I forgot to bring anything with me, so it was a welcome surprise when my mom called out of the blue and asked if I wanted a burger from a new place she'd found.

She showed up with a delicious burger and fries combo from The Singing Chef - a food trailer owned and operated by Sammy Fox. (According to the business card, he's the Executive Chef.)

The burger was absolutely fantastic, and I was very impressed by the fries. Fries can make or break a place, and the batch I had were cut huge and served in a very generous portion. I was so hungry that I didn't even stop eating long enough to take a picture, but trust me, they'll set you up with a hearty meal!

My mother, meanwhile, passed me her camera and said I had to see the photos she took of their menu. Apparently, I'd been eating the "Stevie Ray" - a 1/4 pounder. It was satisfyingly filling, so I'll have to wait for a day when I'm famished to tackle the "Stevie Nix".

The Singing Chef is located at 2 North 4th Street in Downtown Temple. If you're wondering where to go for lunch today, I highly recommend paying them a visit!
