Search and rescue efforts continued on Fort Hood Wednesday after a vehicle that was reportedly washed off the road by flood waters was found without the driver inside.

In a media release, Ft. Hood officials said they received a report about a vehicle being swept into Clear Creek near Turkey Run Road just before 6 AM Tuesday.

At 8:55 PM Tuesday, authorities confirmed that the vehicle had been found, but the driver was not inside. Emergency crews continued searching overnight, and as of Wednesday morning, more than 70 rescuers were working to find the driver. Swift-water rescue teams and t least two AH-64 Apache helicopters were deployed.
