A former Rogers  High School band director is under investigation after allegedly sending a text message suggestive of an inappropriate relationship.

KWTX reports that Christopher Johnston was placed on administrative leave before resigning. In a statement issued Thursday, Rogers ISD said officials were looking into a text message that was reported by a student on Friday, May 12.

School officials have not commented on the contents of the message, except to say that it violated district policy.

As of Friday afternoon, Johnston was no longer listed on Rogers High School's staff webpage, and the band webpage returned a 404 error.
