The cops weren’t having any part of a takeover in downtown Dallas last weekend.

I remember a year or so ago street takeovers were happening regularly across the Lone Star State. There were videos of them happening in our major cities, and they were popping up left and right on social media.

Of course, that got the attention of our government officials who promised to crack down on them. They apparently made good on their promises because the takeover you see in the video below is the first I’ve seen on social media in quite some time.

The one thing I will say about the takeover that occurred over the weekend is that at least it happened in a parking lot, rather than an intersection. But it still had to be a major nuisance for people who lived in the area.

As someone who liked to raise hell as a younger man, I’ll admit that I most likely would partake in that sort of thing if I were younger. However, my advice would be to take it to the sticks or an abandoned mall parking lot or anywhere a takeover wouldn’t cause a major disturbance.
