City Of Killeen Will Be Closed For The Labor Day Weekend

As Killeen, Texas prepares for the Labor Day weekend, the city released a statement on August 27, 2024, that all offices from the city of Killeen will be closed on the Labor Day holiday on September 2.

Emergency services will operate without interruptions and the garbage collection will run as normal. The city of Killeen stated that the transfer station will be open from 8 AM until 1 PM, but the recycling center will be closed families can still enjoy the Family Recreation Center from 5 AM to 5 PM and can also take a dip at the Family Aquatic Center from 11 AM to 5 PM at the Lions Park but the senior center will be closed.

Animal shelters will be closed as well and the city offices and facilities will reopen for normal business hours, September 3.
