Because the love of barbecue is so serious here in the great state, when the famous Texas barbecue joint Café Lone Star announced that they would be closing due to declaring bankruptcy, Texans were shocked.

AFTER 51 YEARS TEXAS SAYS FAREWELL TO A VERY POPULAR BBQ JOINT

Sky 21 reported that Café Lonestar, which has been open since 1972 is known to be one of the best barbecue places in Texas. Café Lonestar started in the capital Austin Texas, and quickly got a reputation for its delicious homemade sides, and smoky tender meats. Unfortunately, even though this establishment has been long-standing, there have been financial difficulties in recent years and because of that, the famous Café Lone Star will be closing.

FARWELL TO THE BEST BBQ JOINT IN TEXAS

Besides COVID-19, and trying to dodge economic challenges, Cafe Lone Star has filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in early August and will be saying its final farewell on  August 14, 2024. If you have lived in the central part of the state, you’re very familiar with Cafe Lone Star and as a little girl, I remember my father driving me to North Texas just to have some of this barbecue amazing barbecue Café Lone Star will be missed.
