A man in Austin, Texas was recently declared dead on Saturday, April 12th, 2025. With the investigation ongoing, more details are being revealed as to how the individual's life was taken. Here are the latest details.

How Did The Situation Begin In Texas?

According to KXAN, police were summoned for a "welfare check" on Saturday. "Obvious trauma" was the reason for alerting law enforcement. Medical personnel were also brought to the scene, but were unable to resuscitate the individual.

Henry Martinez, who was later identified as the victim, was declared dead at the time of 4:55 AM. Further inquires began to ascertain what actually happened. What police found was rather surprising.

How Was Martinez's Life Taken?

During the investigation, it came to light that Martinez may have been attacking somebody before shot. Per police, it is alleged that Martinez was violent toward his ex-girlfriend. Martinez purportedly was in possession of a pickaxe, and attempted to attack both his ex-girlfriend and her current partner while they were in a car.

The partner, who has not been revealed at the time of writing, shot at Martinez while he was brandishing the item. Both the ex-girlfriend and partner were unharmed, but it's not known if the partner will see charges for shooting Martinez.
