Loc Nashun Loc ignites Juneteenth Week

There was so much culture and history present, it was truly a beautiful experience. Heritage is important, especially in the times we live in now. I’ll admit, I didn’t fully understand (and I don’t think many people do) just how much value locs hold. The origins of locs are both ancient and global. They represent African traditions, spiritual and religious significance, cultural identity, resistance, and personal expression through the journey of wearing them. I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again—this was an incredible way to begin the Juneteenth celebration. And I think it’s safe to say that the city is already looking forward to next year’s Loc Nashun Loc World.
