Meet the worst sex offender and serial killer in American history that resides right here in the great state of Texas. Dean Croll, who was born December 24, 1939, was notorious for abducting, torturing, raping, and murdering a minimum of 28 boys and young men in Houston and Pasadena Texas.

Dean became so popular for his crimes that the murders were named the" Houston mass murders" and he was only exploited once being fatally shot. According to Wikipedia upon discovery, the worst case was considered the worst example of Serial murder in the United States history. This man was a monster, an absolute demon. Dean Croll received the nickname Candyman and the Pied Piper on how he would perform the murders.

Dean would suggest to the victims party favors or give them a ride to wherever they would need to go and he would restrain them either by force or deception and kill each either by strangulation or shooting the individual with a 22 caliber pistol. He buried over 15 of his victims in a rented boat shed, four other victims were buried in the woodlands one was buried on the beach in Jefferson County and the others were buried on the beach at the Bolivar Peninsula. Being known as the Candyman and the Pie Piper sounds like an innocent nickname, especially because Dean and his family had previously owned and operated a candy factory in Houston Heights, and were known for passing out free candy to children.
