What Is "Dusting" And Why Shouldn't Anyone Do It?

"Dusting" is something that has begun to grow thanks to social media. The trend itself is simple. According to NBCDFW, "Dusting" happens when an individual snorts something in an attempt to feel drunk.

NBCDFW reports that the trend also goes by the name "chroming" and "huffing." While the trend may look like a simple way to feel the previously mentioned feeling, it isn't good for the human body. A doctor interviewed by NBCDFW told the news organization that it is poisonous and harmful to the human body.

Parents In Arizona Alert The World About The Danger Of "Dusting"

Renna O’Rourke, who lived in Tempe, Arizona, passed away following her inhalation of computer dusting spray. Renna, per NBCDFW, was taken to the ICU following her suffering cardiac arrest. Several days later, after the inhalation of the spray, she was pronounced brain dead.

Dana O'Rourke, the mother of Renna, began speaking out about the trend, saying:

“We want to make sure that we use our tragedy so that no other parent has to experience looking at their child on life support and a ventilator and not breathing on her own all because she huffed out of a can."
