ALERT: Texas, Don’t Do The “Chase Bank Money Glitch” Trend

A new trend is sweeping the social sharing website Tik Tok, and possibly the state of Texas. However, should you even participate in it? The answer is probably not.

"Chase Infinite Money Glitch" Takes Internet By Storm

As reported by Mashable, this "glitch" worked out like this. A person would write an amount of money on a check that they didn't have. The amount could be whatever the individual wanted. After the check placed inside the ATM, the person then would immediately take out the money out, with Chase not being able to confirm the money deposited was real.

To say the least, while some on the internet were showing off the newly gained wealth, there's a major issue. It's illegal for one to do this.

While many were shown celebrating the money they got, they quickly learned there was consequences and that they committed fraud instead of getting more money:

If you need another reason why not to do this? Per Mashable, Chase released a statement about it:

"We are aware of this incident, and it has been addressed...Regardless of what you see online, depositing a fraudulent check and withdrawing the funds from your account is fraud, plain and simple."

So don't do this Texas!
