Per Consumer Sentinel Network, data was reported by them that revealed two major crimes were occurring highly in the Killeen-Temple area. The two crimes were fraud and identity theft. Killeen-Temple ranked in the top 50 of the nation for them.

Consumer Sentinel Network revealed that Killeen-Temple ranked 36th overall in fraud with the number of reports at 6,010 and 1,285 reported per 100K residents. Killeen-Temple ranked higher in identity theft sadly.

With 1,997, which was 427 per 100K residents, Killeen-Temple ranked at 12th overall in the nation. So how does one report said fraud or identity theft?

If you suspect that you're a victim of identity theft, Consumer Sentinel Network encourages individuals to report to identitytheft.gov. They also provided a list of what types of fraud one could encounter any day in the state of Texas.
