Tesla Footage Captures ‘Direct Hit’ During Temple Tornado
The City of Temple was hit by a devastating EF-2 tornado with winds reaching up to 120 mph on Wednesday, May 22. City Officials estimate that somewhere between 100 & 200 structures received damage during the destructive storm.
At this point, we've all seen the path of destruction left behind. Cars flipped over, houses destroyed, businesses heavily damaged. Many are still without power or internet. It truly was a devastating event to many in the community.
But this footage, captured by a Tesla video camera, is absolutely eye opening. Most of the time, when you see tornado footage, it's from a long distance away. This footage captures a direct hit from the storm.
It's frightening. It's scary. It's awe-inspiring. It's incredible. I can honestly say I've never seen anything like it.
If you need assistance recovering from the storm, there's plenty of resources available. The City of Temple has established a Tornado Task Force. You can find more details and seek help & assistance here.
