Remarkable Rescue Video Of Massive Human Trafficking Bust In Texas
Just east of Del Rio, Texas in Kinney County, a Mississippi man was pulled over by the Texas Department of Public Safety while driving what looked like a Lowe's delivery truck that held a secret compartment filled with 17 people. The truck was initially pulled over for what appeared to be an issue with the tags and registration, but then the driver handed the DPS officer a Mississippi ID that was not a valid drivers license.

Obviously an investigation into the truck was immediately elevated because of the compounding infractions, and upon inspection of the nearly empty interior of the cargo space a secret compartment was found and pried open.
After securing the truck and the surroundings, the video shows 17 men and women sliding through a very small hatch and into the rest of the box truck. Authorities arrested Cezanne Megel Patterson of Jackson, Mississippi on the spot. According to this Fox News article, Patterson was been charged with a felony of human smuggling with the likelihood of serious bodily injury or death as the 17 people were crammed into a non ventilated compartment.

It is unknown at this time how long the people were inside the truck, how far they had already traveled, or where the intended destination was. Thankfully everyone was treated for dehydration and appears to be in OK condition before being referred to Border Patrol.
