Texas Walmart Now Accusing Teenagers Of $1 Million Swindle
San Angelo, Texas has a Walmart that is accusing a couple of teenage employees of masterminding a massive theft enterprise that they claim has caused losses of over $1 million during the past year. Look, I am a middle aged father of 3 very young children, so I know exactly how easy it would be to spend one million dollars and can imagine how easily teenagers could go on that type of shopping spree, but how were they able to allegedly steal over $1 million?

As we imagine in our heads the image of $1 million passing through our hands, it is even more incredible to grasp that a million bucks is less than a drop in the bucket to what Walmart loses annually because of employee theft.
According to one study reported in this Gitnux article, of the $3 billion plus in Walmart losses each year due to theft, employees account for over 40%. Not only that, but there is major suspicion that employees are also involved in the organization of much of the theft by other shoplifters.
Texas Walmart Now Accusing Teenagers Of $1 Million Swindle
As of the posting of this article, both Ryan Munoz and Carmelo Amigleo have been charged with theft over $300,000 and appear to have bonded out from the Tom Green County Jail.

Maybe all of this theft we just discussed is the reason Walmart overcharged so many customers in their self checkout lanes? Gotta make up the money somehow, right?
