Have you heard of "Museum Day Live!"? Smithsonian Magazine hosts Museum Day on September 24 of 2016 to promote #BoundlessCuriosity, which means a very large selection of museums in the United States will provide free admission.

There are 61 museums in Texas that are participating in Museum Day Live! and you can check them all out here. There are two steps to getting free admission.

Step 1: Find participating museums (see link above or scroll for local museums).

Step 2: To download your free tickets, click here.

But if you aren't looking to make a long drive, here are a handful of museums with free admission on September 24 in Central Texas.
