A Heat Advisory has been issued for parts of Centex today including Bell County.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from Noon till 6 pm this afternoon along a line stretching from Killeen to Athens.

High temperatures will range from the upper 90's to near 100, with heat index values rising to between 105 and 110. Without shade or proper hydration, anyone spending time outside today could be subject to heat exhaustion.

Never leave kids or pets in an enclosed vehicle even for a short period of time. Temperatures can rise to life threatening levels in a matter of minutes on a day like today.
