I’m Lynn Woolley with your Logic Minute for 2/28/13

Right up to the edge of the Sequester, newspapers are giving us a stream of scary headlines. Really, now! Is Obama PAYING newspapers to run headlines like: “Delays seen at area airports.” Or: “Area defense industry will suffer.” Or: “Jobs program could lose over $500 thousand dollars.” Enough. Unless the Republicans cave – which is a good bet – the Sequester will happen and the world will go on. But will it? I can already imagine headlines in the weeks to come: “Long lines at airports.” “Layoffs at Fort Hood.” So, to Obama and his allies in the media, NOT having the money doesn’t mean a thing. We borrow from the Chinese and feel no pain – at least not now. Look -- forget about the sky falling and stop reading these loony stories. We are better off with the Sequester. It will save a tiny amount of money – but best of all, it will teach us to make a small sacrifice for the good of the country.
