Numerous Acres Torched in Axtell Fire

Numerous acres were torched by a fire early Friday morning in Central Texas. KWTX's Rhyan Henson reported that a fire burned through several acres in a field near Axtell.

The fire occurred near County Line Parkway and Highway 84 very early Friday morning. The cause of the fire is unknown by the fire officials, but the flames were extinguished around 3:00 a.m..

Oncor had to make an appearance on the scene to clean up burned wires. A witness reported seeing cows standing in the burning field, but was unaware of any human or animal injuries.

Multiple fire crews from Mart, Axtell, and Leroy teamed up to help put out the flames.
