A Temple Fire & Rescue engine was involved in a low-speed traffic accident with another vehicle Tuesday afternoon.

According to a press release, the collision occurred at the intersection of Central Avenue and Main Street shortly after noon. The crew aboard the engine attended to the driver of the other vehicle while they waited for other emergency responders. The driver was conscious and was taken to Scott and White hospital for evaluation.

The engine received minor damage and remains in service. No one aboard the engine was injured. Temple Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
