As the Temple Wildcats put together their second consecutive game district win in dominating fashion, some old 'Cats got together to remember the last football state championship Temple brought home for the trophy case.

It's been over twenty years, but I'm pretty sure these gentlemen could still put on the pads and run that Wing-T offense up and down the field.  While the '92 team was recognized for their dominating performance, the '13 Wildcats showed that they're ready to make their own legacy.  Following a 50+ point offensive explosion a week ago against rival Belton, Temple again jumped out in front with 5 TDs in a first-half that put the game out of reach before the marching bands took the field.  The 63-15 victory could have been even more lopsided had Temple not pulled its entire starting lineup early in the 2nd half.

Despite all that, the stars of the night were the state champs.  It may have happened a couple decades ago, but the Temple faithful still hold a special place in their hearts for champions of yesteryear.
