Central Texas will have its own stake in the Presidential Inaugural Parade Friday.
The 1st Cavalry Division Horse Cavalry Detachment of Fort Hood will be participating in the Presidential Inaugural parade on Friday (Jan. 20).
According to KXXV TV, it will be the units's 5th appearance at a Presidential Inauguration. Those include both of Reagan's and both of George W. Bush's.
Commander Woodard told KXXV:
It's a great honor of ours to be able to do this. There is a lot of work that goes into it, but we're really excited. The troopers are really excited.
13 horses will make the trip and spend four days in D.C. as the troops are eager to represent the United States Army the way it's supposed to be done.
We are the history of what the Army has done, where we've come from and where we are going.
