The city of Copperas Cove announced their first positive case of COVID-19.

According to a press release from the city of Copperas Cove, the first positive case of COVID-19 has occurred in Coryell County.

Currently, the identity of the person has not been released. The resident is self-quarantining and was tested at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.

The city is advising residents not to panic, and to keep practicing safe social distancing.
