2 Texans Rescued from Kidnappers in Mexico
Fox 26 out of Houston reports that two American citizens from Texas were kidnapped during a trip to Mexico.
The prosecutors' office of Nuevo Leon reported on Sunday that a couple was a taken while visiting the state on February 17th. Their families reported that they hadn't heard from them at all on the 18th, and on the 19th the couple's families began receiving ransom demands.
On February 24th, the couple was rescued by a special anti-kidnapping team near Juarez. The team received a tip on the alleged kidnappers, and caught them on a highway.
The prosecutors of Nuevo Leon were sent back to the United States with assistance from the United States Consulate.
