64-Year-Old Accused of Attempting to Solicit Minor

Police arrested a Speegleville man Tuesday accused of attempting to lure a teenager girl into a sexual situation.

KWTX reports that 64-year-old John Patrick McGaugh has been charged with online solicitation of a minor. McGaugh reportedly exchanged hundreds of messages with someone be believed to be a 16-year-old girl, and eventually tried to arrange a meeting. However, he was actually communicating with an undercover police officer.

According to KXXV, McGaugh requested a meet-up at Waco's Richland Mall, where he circled the parking lot in his vehicle and demanded photos of the interior of the mall as proof that the girl was there. He was pulled over and arrested.
