A busy Friday on Talk of the Town!

The lovely Katie Smith with the Temple Chamber of Commerce stopped by the KTEM studio this morning to give us the rundown on the 5k Fund Run For the Fort Hood Memorial. Proceeds from the event will go toward the Fort Hood Memorial to honor those who fell in 2009's terrorist shooting.

Later, we were joined by the ruggedly handsome Rick Smith to talk about the Temple Breakfast Lion's Club's Family Fun Fest and Blood Drive coming up October 13th. The festival will be open from 10am to 5pm in Downtown Temple on the Square and will feature live music, an open car and motorcycle show and more!
