African Children’s Choir Coming to Central Texas
The African Children's Choir will bring their talents to Central Texas on Sunday, December 24th. The choir will perform at Liberty Community Church located at 4856 FM 3242 in Cameron at 9:00 AM. What better gift on Christmas Eve than to enjoy some great international talent singing His praises!
The African's Children's Choir is a nonprofit humanitarian relief group that strives to help Africa's at-risk children today so they can help shape the future of Africa. The African's Children Choir is led by a parent organization, Music For Life.
Music For Life works with seven African countries: South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Sudan, Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda. The organization has instructed over 52,000 children, and also positively impacted over 100,000 people with their relief and development programs. Music For Life is hoping to use education to create new leadership for the troubled African continent.
The African Children's Choir has performed all over the world and for some pretty prominent figures. Most recently they sang for Queen Elizabeth II of England. The choir has performed alongside some very notable musicians as well, such as Paul McCartney, Keith Urban, Mariah Carey, and many others!
The African Children's Choir steals the show wherever they go with their native African dances and songs. Besides their native songs, they sing many well known children's songs, spirituals, and Gospel classics.
The African Children's Choir is in its 47th installment, and this group consists of Ugandan children ranging from ages 7-10 years old.
The concert in Cameron is free and open to all, but an optional free-will offering will take place at the concert to support the African Children's Choir program.
