Kolbie Sanders of Tyler, Texas called off her engagement last month. She was determined not to let all the planning and money spent go to waste, so she took to Facebook to gift her wedding venue and decor worth over $3,500 to a couple in need.

Her Facebook post went viral, and after staying up late and reading through countless love stories she chose Halie Hipsher and Matt Jones.

The couple wanted to marry soon because Halie Hipsher’s grandfather is battling stage four pancreatic cancer. They had less than 5 days to put everything together. Talk about a shotgun wedding!

Samantha Morrison, owner of Morrison Light Photography, had been following the story closely since she is neighbors with Kolbie Sanders.

" I thought to myself, I have to do this. I knew they wouldn't be able to find a great photographer with such short notice, it took me less than 2 seconds to make the decision to jump in and help," said Samantha Morrison.

Morrison is no stranger in the East Texas community when it comes to jumping in when needed. She's constantly donating time and photography services to causes and charities near and dear to her heart.

Once Samantha Morrison voiced that she would step in and donate her services, other companies started to step up to the plate.

"It was like a chain reaction," said Morrison. "I'm not the best, but people deserve to have great photos on their wedding day, so I finished my morning photo shoot and drove out to shoot the wedding right after."

It was a packed day for Morrison Light Photography, but she did it all with a smile on her face. I asked her why would she even considered doing something when she has no idea who these people are. She said, "There wasn't a defining moment for me. It's just something I knew I had to do. When I meet you, I'll make you a part of my family."
