Annual Centex ‘Ride for Wreaths’ Happens Saturday
The Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery is the final resting place for some 5000 veterans and their family members. It's a breathtaking site to be a part of the laying of wreaths for vets which always takes place the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
Fundraisers scheduled throughout the year help cover the cost of honoring our veterans, and one of those events happens this Saturday, September 15.
It's the annual Ride for Wreaths. Riders can join in for a $25 dollar entry fee that includes a ride t-shirt and breakfast before the ride.
The event begins at Horny Toad Harley Davidson in Temple and ends at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Registration begins at 8 am tomorrow at 875 West Central Texas Expressway in Temple.
Our thanks to all who serve and all who support the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
