Baby Holly Missing for 42 Years Found Alive and Well in Oklahoma
Back in 1980, a mysterious murder took place in Houston, Texas that left authorities searching for a one year old baby girl. Her name is Holly and she's finally been found, 42 years later living in Oklahoma.
Unsolved Murder
January 12, 1981, the bodies of Dean and Tina Linn Clouse were found murdered in rural Houston. Reports say Dean was beaten to death while Tina was strangled to death in 1980. That murder remains unsolved but what also remained a mystery is the whereabouts of their infant daughter, Holly Marie Clouse.
Texas Cold Case
The identity of the couple also remained a mystery until 2011 when Identifinders International exhumed their bodies and tested their DNA and were able to identify them. There was still no information on what had happened to baby Holly.
That changed today as the new Cold Case and Missing Persons Unit with the Texas Attorney General’s Office made the announcement that baby Holly had been found "alive and well" in Oklahoma where she had been adopted as a little girl according to The Houston Chronicle.
Prayers Answered
The Texas Attorney General’s office went to Holly's office to tell her who she was and a few hours later she was able to meet her grandmother, aunts and uncles through a Zoom call.
Holly's Grandmother, Casasanta released a statement saying,
“Finding Holly is a birthday present from heaven, I prayed for more than 40 years for answers and the Lord has revealed some of it... we have found Holly.
The family found out about Holly on what would have been Holly's dad's 63rd birthday.
Mystery Remains
As great as the news is about Holly, the murder of her biological parents remains unsolved. The Texas Attorney General’s Cold Case and Missing Persons Unit is asking for anybody with information to contact them at coldcaseunit@oag.texas.gov.
