Barktoberfest Returns to Killeen’s Lions Club Park October 5
If you're planning to celebrate Oktoberfest, don't forget to make plans for your best bud to celebrate Barktoberfest.
From 10 AM to 1 PM Saturday, October 5, doggos can enjoy free activities at Killeen's Lions Park and Family Aquatics Center.
There'll be leash-free play zones for large and small dogs, pet friendly vendors, and a fan favorite Pooch Pageant your dog can enter. If you don't have a dog, folks will be on hand to help you adopt a new friend.
There'll be open swim at the Family Aquatics Center as well. You know the arrival of fall doesn't mean Texas temperature will necessarily go down, so your pupper can cool off and wiggle in the pool.
If you and your furry friend want to participate there are a couple of important rules to keep in mind. All dogs must be on a leash when not in the designated leash-free play zones. They'll also need to be up to date on their vaccinations.
The dog in the picture above is mine. Her name's Leela, and I bet she'd love to meet your doggie at Killeen's Barktoberfest. If you run into us, know that she's a very gentle and sweet-natured dog, but she will try to lick you to death.
Killeen's Lions Club Park is located at 1600 East Stan Schlueter Loop. Hope to see you there!
