KWTX reported that a highly competitive Big 12 conference game went down to the wire between the Baylor Bears and the Texas Longhorns.

The game took place at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, and the fans in attendance on Monday night definitely got their moneys worth.

The Baylor Bears came out victorious over the Texas Longhorns by a score of 74-73 in double overtime. Baylor has now amassed four wins in a row, and Terry Maston led the way for the Bears with 26 points. Manu Lecomte added 16 points to the stat sheet, and Jo Lual Acuil followed with 14 points.

Baylor started strong in the first half, and had the advantage through out the first half.  The Longhorns stormed back in the second half to get back into the game. Texas hit some clutch free throws near the end of regulation to knot the game at 56-56.

The Longhorns had four scorers in double digits, including explosive guard Kerwin Roach II who hit two free throws in overtime to force a second overtime period.

Baylor would pull out the hard fought win outscoring Texas by one in the second overtime period. The win puts Baylor ahead of Texas by one game with a 6-7 record in Big 12 conference play.
