A Bell County man will serve ten years in prison for a car crash that killed a 6-month old infant and an unborn baby, following a sentence handed down by a Bell County jury on Thursday.

The sentence will serve one family justice, while it causes his own despair.

Back in 2011, 20-year-old Erik Adrian Mungia Trejo was reportedly racing another car down Highway 95 when he crashed into Nelly Velasquez's vehicle. The collision resulted in the death of both her unborn child and her six-month-old boy.

Wednesday evening, Trejo plead guilty to his charges and will have 30 days to appeal his case. He will serve 10-years of probation for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and 10 years jail time for manslaughter along with a $10,000 fine.
