Belton Burglar Fires Round after Being Caught in the Act
Belton police are searching for a suspect caught in the act of burglarizing a home early Sunday morning.
KWTX's Tianna Jenkins reports that police responded to a call about a break-in at a home in the 1000 block of Muelhause Street around 5 AM. The homeowner said he woke up to find an African-American man wearing dark clothing and a backpack in his living room. The suspect reportedly fired a round from a handgun, then fled without having taken anything.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
